We were approached by xxx of Leibherr Cranes to assist in dismantling one of the tower cranes at Greenore Harbour County Louth. The 250 mm (12 inch) diameter pivot pins in the luffing jib could not be moved and had to be removed using a thermal lance. Time was of the essence as a ship was on its way to collect the crane for delivery to Hamburg and if delayed a charge of several thousand pounds a day would have been levied on Leibherr.

A team was dispatched to Greenore, the pins removed and the deadline met.
